Time & Attendance
Attendance management software that ends the month-end argument
HRBloom records attendance from the mobile app, the employee web portal or biometric devices, and applies each branch's rules on its own. Missed clock-outs, late arrivals and short days are handled every night, so HR starts the month with a clean register.
- Priya Shah · 09:12 to 18:41Present
- Rakesh Patel · 10:07 to 18:35Late · 4th this month, limit 3
- Vikram Desai · 09:26, no clock-outAbsent · Missing clock-out
- Sneha Iyer · 09:28 to 13:40Half day · auto leave
How can employees clock in?
Each branch picks one method.
Manual
Tap Clock In and Clock Out in the app or the portal.
Face match
The app takes a selfie and matches it with the employee's registered face. A failed match is rejected. HR sets how strict the match is.
Biometric only
Employees punch on the device at the branch. App and portal clock-in are blocked, unless HR gives one person an exception.
Can we keep our existing biometric devices?
Yes. HRBloom connects to biometric devices you already have, and we can integrate new brands, including cloud based devices that connect straight to our API. Tell us your device model on the demo call.
How do location rules stop attendance from home?
There are two rules, and you can use one or both.
Block near home
Clock-in is blocked within a set distance of the employee's registered home address. The default is 200 metres, set per branch and switched on per employee.
Allow only at the branch
Clock-in works only inside the branch location's radius. The default is 100 metres, switched on per employee.
Biometric punches are not affected by either rule. The attendance map shows where each check-in happened.
How are office timings set?
Each branch chooses Flexible Time, where hours worked are counted, or Fix Time, with a set clock-in and clock-out. With Fix Time you can set a separate timing for women employees, and decide whether arriving early counts towards overtime.
How do late and early penalties work?
With Fix Time, set the last clock-in and clock-out time, how many late or early days are allowed in a month, and a deduction of 1× to 5× once the limit is passed. The penalty applies only to employees whose penalty switch is on.
What happens when someone forgets to clock out?
The day is marked Absent with the reason "Missing Clock-Out". It clears as soon as the clock-out is filled in. Holidays and weekly offs are skipped.
What happens on a short day?
If an employee works less than the minimum hours, HRBloom adds a half-day or full-day leave and marks it as system generated. Hourly-paid employees are left out of auto leave and penalties.
How are wrong entries fixed?
- 1
The employee opens the day and requests a correction.
- 2
They enter the right time and a reason.
- 3
HR approves, or rejects with a remark.
- 4
The employee tracks it under My Corrections.
What reports do you get?
A daily view of everyone's day, the attendance map, monthly registers and an attendance sheet report.
Attendance questions
Can one employee follow a different rule from the rest of the branch?
Yes. Location rules, auto leave, absent on missing clock-out, late penalty, overtime pay and the clock-in method can be switched on or off for one person.
Do location rules apply to biometric punches?
No. They apply only to app and portal clock-ins.
Face check-in keeps failing. What should we do?
Make sure the employee has registered their face in the app and uses good light. HR can also make the match less strict.
Can an employee without a smartphone mark attendance?
Yes. They can clock in from the employee portal on a computer with the browser's location turned on, or punch on the biometric device.
