Chapter 3 of 12

Employees

Add employees one by one or from a CSV file, and the switches you can set per person.

Every person in HRBloom starts as an employee record under Employees. From that list you add people, open their attendance, leave and salary, and see what company assets they hold.

Add one employee

  1. Step 1: Go to Employees and click Add.
  2. Step 2: Fill in the sections of the form: Basic Information (name, employee number, phone, email, gender, photo); Employment Details (branch, department, designation, reporting manager, employment status: Permanent, Contract or Temporary, joining date); Personal Details (blood group, marital status, address); Aadhaar, PAN and Bank Details, used for payslips and salary transfer.
  3. Step 3: Click Save.

The mobile number you enter is the one the employee uses to sign in with OTP, so check it carefully.

Import many employees at once

  1. Step 1: On the Employees page, click Sample File to download the template.
  2. Step 2: Fill one row per employee and save it as a CSV file.
  3. Step 3: Click Bulk Import Employees and choose the file.
  4. Step 4: Read the result: HRBloom shows how many rows were saved, skipped or rejected. Fix the rejected rows and import them again.

Per-employee switches

Some company rules can be turned on or off for one person from their Attendance page:

  • Geo-Restriction and Set Registered Address
  • Full-Day and Half-Day Auto Leave
  • Absent on Missing Clock-Out
  • Time Violation Penalty
  • Overtime Pay
  • Geo Tracking
  • Clock-in method exception, for example allowing app check-in when the branch uses biometric devices only

A new salary applies to the whole month it starts in. HRBloom does not split a month between the old and new salary.

Employees who have left

Once an employee's exit is completed (see Exit Management), they no longer appear in lists, pickers or reports for day-to-day work. Their past payslips and records are kept.
