Chapter 9 of 12

Exit Management

Resignations and HR exits, the seven clearance checks, final salary and rejoining.

An exit takes three steps: the request, HR's decision, and the Final Exit. The final salary is paid through the normal payroll run, not settled separately.

  1. 1. Request by employee or HR
  2. 2. HR decision
  3. Clearance checks
  4. 3. Final Exit

Step 1: The request

  • An employee resigning opens Exit in the portal, enters a reason and a preferred last working day, and clicks Submit Resignation. They can withdraw it while it is waiting for HR.
  • HR raising an exit opens Exit Management and adds one for the employee. Exit types are Resignation, Termination, Retirement, Contract End and Absconding. A letter (PDF, image or Word file up to 5 MB) can be attached.

Step 2: HR decision

Open the exit from Exit Management. The page shows the employee's tenure, salary and leave balance.

  • Approve: a Last Working Day is required.
  • Reject: an HR Remark is required, and the exit is closed.

Step 3: Final Exit

HRBloom checks that nothing is left open. All seven must be clear before Complete Final Exit can be clicked:

CheckHow to clear it
All assets returnedReturn each item under Assets
No loan or advance outstandingRecover or close the loan under Payroll → Loans & Advances
No loan or advance request in progressApprove or reject the pending request
No approved leave after the last working dayCancel or shorten that leave
No pending attendance correctionApprove or reject it
No projects being managedMove the projects to another manager
No reporteesAssign the reportees to a new reporting manager

After Final Exit, run payroll as usual to pay the last salary. The employee is then hidden from day-to-day lists.

Rejoining

If a former employee comes back, open their exit record and use Rejoin with the rejoin date. Their earlier service stays in the service history.
